MS Nutrition Kickstart
We look at where you are, set realistic goals, and you leave with a plan and grocery list, plus a two-week check-in.
MS Nutrition & Wellness Consulting
Your neurologist focuses on your diagnosis and treatment. I help with what happens between appointments: what's on your plate, how you sleep, and how you handle stress and fatigue. One small step at a time.

Meet Jen
Certified Functional Nutrition Counselor
I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at 27, and what began as a life-changing diagnosis became a passion for helping others. Participating in Dr. Terry Wahls' clinical trials opened my eyes to the power of nutrition and lifestyle in supporting my health. Through years of intentional changes, I've built habits that help me feel like myself again. Today, I share what I've learned through HealingERA, my podcast My Life with MS, and my book The Backpack Theory.
HealingERA is my approach to lightening the heavy burdens of chronic illness, one step at a time. It starts with controlling what we can control, and one of the most powerful choices we make every day is what goes on our plate. We Eliminate foods that may add to inflammation, Restore the nutrients your body needs, and Align your body and mindset for long-term success.
"I'm on a mission to revolutionize how we approach health and wellness with multiple sclerosis. Having battled this condition firsthand, I understand the struggles and triumphs that come with it."Jen Albertson
Ways we can work together
Every session is one-on-one, in person or by video, and works alongside the care you already get from your neurologist.
We look at where you are, set realistic goals, and you leave with a plan and grocery list, plus a two-week check-in.
Together, we'll move through Eliminate, Restore, and Align, helping you understand what's on your plate, nourish your body with intention, and create habits you can carry into your next ERA.
For symptoms, medications, or anything urgent, contact your care team.
Peer support from someone who's been there, help preparing questions for your neurologist, and your first steps for food and lifestyle improvements.
MS community events designed to bring us together, foster meaningful connections, and inspire one another on our nutrition and wellness journeys.
The ERA approach
Reduce ultra-processed foods and added sugar, and notice how foods make you feel. Focus on anti-inflammatory food principles.
Nourish your body with colorful, nutrient-dense foods, and support gut health, sleep, hydration and movement.
Bring body and mind together: stress management, routines, mindset and support. Align yourself with your long-term health goals.
The order matters. You can't fully restore what you haven't first eliminated, and you can't truly align what hasn't been restored.
Your ERA begins with the courage to take the first step.
The HealingERA cycle
Every small choice feeds the next one. When you care for yourself, it gets easier to build healthy habits, lean on your community and grow stronger, which brings you back to caring for yourself.
Why I do this
So much of living with MS happens between appointments. I know the fear, the fatigue and the questions, because I've lived them. I'm here to help you build habits that support your health, alongside your care team.
